How long does a scan take?

Scan time varies a lot — from a few minutes to several hours — depending on what you're scanning and how it responds. There is no fixed number, so Topscan shows you the actual time each stage has been running instead of a countdown that…

Monitoring scans in progress

Go to Scans → In progress to see everything currently running, or open a scan to follow it in detail.

Reading scan results and downloading a report

When a scan completes, it moves from In progress to the Completed scans list on the Scans page.

Running a scan

Click New scan — the button is always visible in the top-right corner — to start an on-demand scan against any of your targets.

Scheduling recurring scans

Scheduled scans run automatically on a cadence you define, so your targets are continuously monitored without manual intervention.
